It works great on my face, and I have no complaints there, but doesnt really do any justice on my neck. I even have a little bit of facial psoriasis. It doesnt matter which model you get as they all shave the same. Thing is I have very fine hair and find that it is easy to get ingrown hairs. Price is no consideration. I only have to shave once a week bc I grow little hair on my face and neck. An alcohol-based pre-shave lotion like the one from Lab Series leaves little to no residue on the shaver, so that shouldnt have any impact on your cleaning routine. In terms of cutting power, the Series 3 will be adequately powerful for a very light beard like yours; however, it is not quite as comfortable as a Series 9.
