If you have restraint and self control, then bigger bags wont be an issue. Also 5' 4", the 28L with no laptop is less than 15lbs and a dream to carry. Padded contact points make it comfortable to wear as a backpack, but it also comes with a detachable strap and a side handle so you can carry it however suits you best. I understand this isnt the typical brand I see on here like Osprey or Cotopaxi, but Id like something more minimal looking and aesthetic as well as functional. Im 54 and I have found smaller bags (weight wise) are a lot easier (less than 15lbs total).
