The King's Royal Rifle Corps was an infantry rifle regiment of the British Army, originally raised in North America as the "Royal Americans". Kings Royal Rifle Corps George Hurd initially enlisted in the Army on 21st Jan 1932 and saw service in Burma until 1939. The regiment also recruited in Germany. 60th (The King's Royal Rifle Corps) Regiment of Foot: The King's Royal Rifle Corps : Earliest recognised formation: 1755, when raised in America as the 62nd (Royal American) Regiment of Foot, recruiting from German settlers in Pennsylvania, Virginia and Maryland.
